Scatter Blanket

The 4.2 is the SFI balistics rating. The higher the number means there are more layers of kevlar in the blanket. When you put a blanket on your tractor, take the time and raise up the engine to run the blanket between the bellhousing and frame. That way if in the unfortunate event that the flywheel does explode, maybe the blanket will keep it from cutting your frame into. I may have an old blanket hanging in the barn that will work on your ollie....

The cheapest ones are for a powerglide, and also the shortest. I think NHRA just rates them for 5 yrs. Bottom line I googled them and got two of the cheap ones for $100 apeace. One long enough for my tractor was $500. Vic

it doesn't matter they are for automatic transmissions. they won't stop a clutch, pressure plate, or flywheel. i saw one go on a pick up, part of the flywheel went through the dash windshield and about 100 feet in the air. fortunately it came back down on the track and didn't hit any people. something else you guys need to consider. is the weight of these tractor flywheels and what is holding them to the crankshaft?
