Thats most of a Handiman RT, built from 39 to around 42. There is a web site, go to Handiman tractors.com Your missing all th sheet metal for m the front. There should be a model tag on the top of the tranny case. It will have 2 foward and a reverse built into the tranny drives off a 2" flat belt. If you dont keep it i'd be interested in it.

I knew about that web site, but not sure this tractor had a hood, was told it was older. I don't know that is, and that's why I am looking for answers. As stated in my first post, the plate you mentioned is on the rear drive. And is 917-5151 The transmission is an old car type, three foward and reverse, engine drives it with a flat belt that acts as a clutch, and chain drive to the rear end. Was thinking Transmission may have been added, but there is no shifter on the rear axel. Engine is a B&S but has a Sears tag and numbers. They don't match anything on that web site. Bought it for the engine, but not sure I want to part it out.

It's in Texas, how much is it worth to either one of you? Also, if the rear axel has the two speeds and reverse, then where is the shift lever?
