securing 810 header

Latches on the bottom of my 13 ft 810 header don"t stay attached
to the IH 715. As a result I was leary of setting the header on the
ground and I missed a lot of straw (and the stubble is too high). Is
there a danger of the header actually coming off? Is there a way to
get the latches to secure? They are the "lock over centre" type
design.

Take a 15/16 wrench and tighten up the U bolts on the head, the part you hook too. Get them tight enough that it takes a little muscle to clamp them on to the feederhouse, had to do mine on my *963 head this fall
