Happy new year! I went and looked at a 1030 this morning. My intent was to buy the wrap around front weights for my 930. I bought the weights, but dang it was a nice straight original tractor. The owner was spreading manure 3 years ago and it locked up on him. He said he was draining the water out of the oil for awhile, but just didn't do it on this particular day. He pulled it in the shed and its been sitting since. I checked the oil and found it was at the top of the hole where you check, way over full, no doubt the water is still in the bottom of the pan. I was wondering if its possible to hydro lock these engines. He didn't do anything with it afterwards, just parked it. I initially suspected it spun a bearing, now I'm not so sure with the amount of oil/water in it. Any thoughts gents?
