Guys........we've all seen them blue wheelchair DP parking slots in front of stores. Tonite, when I stopped at a different grocery store than normal, there was a RED sign "Reserved for Senior Citizens"........giggle, Dell the 73yo senior, eh?

I am still waiting for the "Tractor Parking Only" sign at the local WalMart...

I am not sure they would like it if I parked my 8N there!

I have my Handichap thingy to hang on the van mirror, and I have feigned the embarrassment of the electric motor scooter type shopping carts.

Now if they would just keep the thngs all charged up!!

We had a good friend, who would drive places with my wife.
She always complained, "They give those handicapped persons all the best spots."
Years later, when she got her own handicapped sticker, I noticed the shoe was on the other foot.

We drive my 89 year-old mother-in-law all over. She could benefit from a handicapped sign, so we got one to use when we drive her to stores, etc. As a serendipity, we benefit from the closeness too and we're only 64 and 65!

The Big R store in Michigan City, Indiana, has 2 signs for special "parking". One reads for expectiant Mothers, The other is for Veterans. I was sure to tell a manager I liked the veterans' sign. joe

Dunkie......check with the LOWES store in your area. Sometimes the "manager" will sell YA one of dem scooters, cheaply. Most times when they are declaired "NO GOOD" the scooters are parked out back of the store in all the weather.

John,PA Back of store driver. I just get "lost" sometimes.

It really buggs me to see healthy people abuse those spaces because of their lazy attitudes. My mother, at 85, would not apply for a sticker or plate. She said she could walk.
One day my son and I were at a local department/grocery store. I had 2 tractors loaded on my trailer and so I parked away from the building near the truck wells. Within view were 5 or 6 handicap spaces by the entrance. While my son went in to buy refreshments for our show, I watched car after car park in those spaces and the drivers run, yes run, into the store to buy their morning donuts. That was when I figured out that their handicap was between the ears!

Sorry, I can't agree. 5 or 6 empty spaces. How can it bug you if someone used one to "run in". No handicapped person was denied a place to park were they. If 3 or 4 were in use by handicapped persons I could see you point. What is the chance of 6 handicapped people showing up and needing those places in the time it thats to buy donuts. While I don't use those places I still can't understand why you should be bugged if someone does use them. Quit worrying about what everyone else is doing. You'll live longer that way. That's a communist tactic to get people to report their neighbors!

Actually, might go to work on their "vibrating PILOT's SEAT". Boeing just gotta "patent". Seems verbal "pull-up's" and alarm bells and blinkin'lites are causing sensority overload so now they are going to put vibrating fingers under the pilots ARSS to gitt his attention.

You won't believe where I think they should put the vibrator (grin) ........Dell

????? what if 5 or 6 people who needed those spots pulled in while someone who ran in there was inside? Then whoever needed that spot would be parking and walking! You are part of the problem, not the solution. I've been in that situation where some lazy a$$ parked in a spot and I had to walk the extra distance and she came out and was getting in her car as I went by the spot she took (young woman bout 19).

The whole point is that like what has happend more than once is that when they got there no one was using it but some who needed it could have pulled in.

It is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get a Handichap parking place at Floyd Hospital in Rome GA.

My Ole Lady has to drop me at the door, and then go park a mile off, and come back, and go in with me.

Things like that are what NEED fixing.

I need to check with my Dr. and insurance and see about getting me one of those scooters that ride on a trailer hitch.

I just give out trying to walk far, even with a cane.

Here at the house, I use the 4 wheeler in the garage, to go to the shop.
