Serial Number Tag


Contact your nearest dealer. Tell him you need to get a replacement tag. I don't know if there is a charge associated with this.
 
Go to your engine block first and get the # off the motor and then go to your dealer and get an application for a duplicate plate, fill it out and get it notarized and then turn it back in to your dealer and wait. They will take it from there. In a few months a John Deere Rep. will show up and certify everything is correct and will put you a new tag on it. It won't be exact as the original but it will be correct. Deere stands behind it 100%.
 
I have done this on a 430 in the past. I am in the process on another 430 at the present, and JD is not nearly as cooperative as they were about 15 years ago
 
I would like to thank all that replied to my posting.
Was hoping I could get a tag and have it engraved but apparently JD will not let you do that.
