shaver post driver

I was driving a post and was unable to get the cylinder to go up. The tractor remotes work with cylinders on other equipment. I think there is a problem with the post driver control valve. I replaced hose to coupler. Had cylinder checked. Any suggestions? I also had control valve checked and it is supposed to be ok, but I am not convinced.

all the Shave post drivers I have seen only hook to the pressure/lift quick conn on the tractor, the return line dumps straight into the hydraulic sump with another hose.
I have never seen one hooked to both aux couplilngs, don"t think they will work that way.

The other poster is correct. You can hook one side of the remote to the control valve and the other hose is connected to the hydraulic reservior. They make special return hose adapters so that you don"t get dirt in the hydraulic resevior.

I do have the post driver hooked up as you all have suggested. I just meant that my remotes worked with other equipment so that eliminated the tractor. I bought this used and it is set up for closed center system like John Deere. I have been using it this way by pulling remote lever with a rope at same time I pull control valve lever. I called company and they suggested I convert valve to open center and he thinks that something is causing my relief valve in tractor to blow thereby not letting pressure reach cylinder. I have had the springs off the driving ram and it seems to slide freely. I have ordered the open center conversion kit so I guess I will see if that helps any, but as I said the driver was working fine until recently.
