Does anyone make a replacement shifting cable for the step up transmissions?

As fer just replacing yer RUSTED shifting cable, sometimes you can find trucking and industrial supply outfits that will make a "custom" plastic lined armored cable for you that won't rust. Check yer yellow pages. ......Dell

I have a 'modern' replacement. NOT cheap tho. Better to go to lever 'conversion'.

We have the lever kit from Red Rock, but i still have a question. as ours was a cable shift it has no detent on the shift shaft, how will the lever stay in place ? is there a new shaft we can get or do we need some thing else to hold it?
