Over the past 2 years I have worked at building my shop, as I could afford it. I hired everything done as I have no interest or knowledge in anything contruction. My wife told me it would go faster if I sold some tractors, I told her you can buy concrete and steel everyday.lol. The smaller building was here when we bought the property, it is cemented but not finished. I was really on the fence about the in floor heat because of the extra expence. I love it, worth every penny. With a long WI winter this year I will have spent less than $1000 in LP. Glad my plumber friends talked me into it.

Hey "AK" nice look"en shop......Bet the "locals" love having a "non-green" shop to deal with. Congrates on the finshed product. You going to have a "open house" of sorts to show off your shop-biz. What part of wisconsin are you at? Thanks for share"en

I see you have one of the most important items included in the shop. Good job! Never fear we will have Spring in WIS before July 1st!!!!!!

Eric,

That is a 1st class facility. If I had one like that I"d never be in the house. And you are right about the radiant heat. That sure is the ideal way to go, especially up here in the "Arctic". LOL Don

LOOKS GREAT!! although its much nicer than mine it looks like mine did when I was running my repair shop FULL!! LOL thanks for sharing cnt

Eric,
You did a great job on the shop! Very nice. I have a question about the 1 picture though. Is that green thing a self propelled round bale or is it cold and wanting to get inside? LOL You really had some great features put in like in floor heat. Glad you like it. Thanks for the great pics.

Looks more to me like it was trying to break in. Typical thug.

very nice shop i bet the floor heats great, keeps your feet warm. standing on concrete can be cold. makes me cold looking at the picture of snow,

Very nice facility. When I was building commercial shops as a contractor, we recomended radiant heat, and everyone loves it. We installed wasteoil boilers though. You might want to look into one in the future, as an addon.
I agree with one of the other posters that the CASE sign need to light up your yard outside of the building. I have one like it and intend to light up my yard with it this summer, powered with solar/battery system.
Hope you have many enjoyable years working in it.

back in 1980 we built my shop with floor heat!!! loved it!!! well we were using 2 electric water heaters! big mistake! then an old propane boiler out of a house!!! it was ok but not very economical! went away from that and the plastic tubes are broke so no floor heat!!! by the way very nice shop!!!

Keep it back from the highway far enough so the kids won't destroy it. Our's was a regular target for passers by with rocks and beer bottles. Probably pretty hard to throw an aluminum pop top and do any damage though. hehe.

Looks very nice Eric, we have had no Inet or power since Tues. so I almost missed your shop pics. We are still out of service so I stopped at our daughters to do a little business. Now you have to get that good look-in sign up. That looks like the same size we had at the dealership I worked at. I recently heard of a new one sitting in a garage that is about 10 ft by 5 ft. Congrats again , have to talk again soon, Rod.

Kurt and Jim, The green thing had a valve seat fall out of the head on the JD reman engine. The machine shop that repaired the head told me the head was very poorly rebuilt. Pathetic.
