Smoking Carborator

I bought an old Snapper Comet 30 and have had to do some work on it.

The carborator-yep-smokes. Grey smoke from a Briggs&Stratton carborator. Can anyone help me? It comes off the side nearest the engine block.

I am also looking for a Briggs air filter for the tractor. Just like the motor oil, it appears to be orignal =)

A lot of those have the oil/crank case breather going to the carb and if it does then most likely thats where the smoke is comeing from. Do you need another one for parts?? I have one but it has the tecumse engine on it. I brakoe the crank shaft right where the flywheel is bolted down on it. Sure would like to see it go to some one that could use it for parts

I'm in missouri. By the way that crank case breather has a little sort of check valve in it and if its not working right it can cause that type of problem also
