I wasn't planning on selling mine in Texas, but I would let it go for that price. I paid $500 for it. Stuck motor and bad rubber.

I would have to buy that and make a project out of it. If you have ever actually used one they are a really nice tractor. There is supposed to be a SMTAD sitting in a field within 10 miles of me but I drove around trying to find it without luck. Someone shot the hell out of it with a .22 is the story. Thinking it is just that, a story.

A stuck engine and NO tires? I wouldn't pay more than $500. Might go another $300 for the Schwartz wide front, but only if it is the heavy duty model in excellent condition.

If the sheet metal is good one piece can be a good part of 500. Hood and grill over 500. Run and buy it.

I would say from 1500.00 and down to whatever the price is. you cant predict auctions for example, as some guy could even pay 3000.00 you don't know what other people think. if you want that tractor just buy it and don't worry about money as that a goofy reason thinking "I" may pay too much. your money your reasons.

Here's the rub. You can buy a running no tire H for 1000. Restoration cost 5000 value when done 3500.
Smta 2750, restoration cost 6000, end value 9000

I have a nice running SMTA that I really like. I was looking for a project tractor and found another SMTA with TA problem. This tractor is complete, poor tires, single front wheel, good tin and needs cleaned and painted. I got it for $500.00 and have enjoyed working on it. For me, knowing what I know about the tractor now, and what I like to work on,I would have paid more to get it. Some times finding what you want close to home is worth several dollars.
