Snapper engine pulley

I have a Snapper LT140H38BBV with a broken pulley. It is a double pulley that goes on the crank. I know Snapper has the parts manual for this online. The problem is that the 14 HP Briggs got replaced with a 15 HP Kohler. I would assume that the pulley was originally with the Kohler, and I don"t know what the Kohler came off of. Would any 1" double pulley work, as long as the pulley sizes were roughly the same size? Thanks in advance for you guys" help, as my yard is about a month behind my mowing schedule.

You will most likely find the pulley that's on the Kohler now did come off the original Briggs engine. On average you just swap the pulley from one engine to the next.

Theres not a "lot" of different stack pulleys out there, but you need one with the same measurements of bore, depth of bore, and pully spacing to maintain proper belt tracking.Pulley diameter should be very close to original or your idlers may not be able to take up the slack or loosen enough to release when needed.
