I was talking with my father-in-law today we were chuckling about these little blasts of snow making life miserable for us and he said "What about those poor ba!@#ds on the east coast? Could you imagine 26 inches, you'd have to start digging from where the tractor was sitting to get anywhere!" I laughed and agreed and told him I would ask you guys your thoughts on the white stuff, we're fighting it every day, and I'm sure you guys are, too.

Not bad here in Northwest Ohio. It blows around. I have bare grass showing and snow a foot taller than a 55 gallon drum. you know snow in the rural land. I just got off the phone with one of the boys. He lives in Maryland not too far from Baltimore. He had 20 inches over the weekend and has gotten 26 more today and still snowing and now blowing as well.

I"m in Maryland also, along the Blue Ridge Mountains, beside the 32"-34" we got this past weekend and the 20"-26" today along with the wind. Well the wind didn"t take any away for us in the right places, so tomorrow we will move snow again, so we can feed and water the cattle. Stay safe, don"t work yourself too hard moving snow, the Sun will help also. Spring is coming and I like bugs on the windshield, you know it is warm then!

I'm in the Vancouver BC area and there is very little snow on the local hills for the Olympics. There were trucking it 5 hours away to put on top of straw bales to make some of the runs. It's raining. Maybe they can just do a water slide contest for a gold medal.

We havent seen a flake yet here in South Louisiana...although the hurricanes tend to run us out. Best of safety and well being to everyone up there.

Im sitting in Burkittsville MD, nothing moving. Have only seen one skid loader and one farm tractor in the last 12 hours. Roads closed all round due to drifting snow! 28" of snow Feb 5-6 and 18" today, will winter ever end?????

Here in the N.C. mountains there has been snow on since the week before Christmas. Running out of places to push it!

I'm in whiteford , md , pa line and the
susquehanna river . We got about the same amount
you did , possibly 20 today.I'm going to start
pushing in the morning , got all the neighbors,
some farms and some roads.
I travel thru your area on the way to berryville
show and also out 70 to my buddy's in garret co.
From there we go to the show in brownsville.

best to ya. rocko

Here in north central Iowa we have not seen bare ground since the first week in December. The local radio station announced yesterday that to date we have had 61" of snowfall so far this winter. The Farmer"s Almanac predicts that we are to have 40" of snow in February. I"m running out of places to go with it!

Well here east of Lake Ontario its been pretty quiet which is pretty uncommon. We get snow like that all of the time but we're set up for it too.
That's where the snowblower comes in handy. Used to push with a blade mounted to 3ph but the blower is so much handier.

We only got about 6 inches Tuesday and Tuesday night. The wind whipped it around so much it all ended up in drifts. It was light and fluffy so it pushed easy. Only took me about half an hour with the 1550 and box scrapper to get everything cleaned up.
I remember back in 78,it was just like you said. We got about 36 inches. The Super 77 with the loader sat outside. It was cold as a well diggers backside. I ran the battery almost dead and it started on what I knew was gonna be the last turn. But like you said,I started plowing right where it sat. Worked pretty much all day.

I only got 6 inches in the last one, but it drifted up 4 feet in some places. The 1650 and the 580 case tbl are mostly useless. There is hard ice under most of the snow so the 2-105 is what works. I lost 2 more braces in the combine shed and 2 20 foot beams in the old cow barn. I spent time shoreing them up and not pushing snow. The ice on the roof can't be shovled, its frozen solid. This is the only time i can walk to my front door and step down to get in the door. Normally there are 3 steps up.Half my tractors and other stuff i can't get out of the buildings. Tryied to pull my sprayer out today before the roof falls on it and i got stuck 50 feet away.

well im here in delaware they say 50 chichen houses have collapsed neighbor had to barns go down yesterday i got called to rescue 2 hores out of a collapsing barn at a nother farm been plowing snow all day at farms and helping state trucks get thru high drifts on roads and getting snow off of our barn roofs. in bad need of fwd 2255 with v plow on front.
