Some Leonard's Laws

Just postulated today:
1. A caster wheeled shop vac will 98.54% of moves encounter something to roll against regardless of direction.
2. A filled garbage bag will always have a center of gravity near the top.
3. It takes an average of 2.3 tries to find the right slot on an adjustable pliers.
4. A dropped socket will always roll just out of reach if under car quarters are too tight to turn your head.
5. The trouble light will burn out one more bulb than you have on hand.
6. A tossed item will miss its target directly in proportion to how much it hurts to bend over to pick it up.

I would like to hear your "rules/laws".: ) Leonard

Just when you think you have everything fixed, something else will leak, break, fail or fall off for no apparent reason. This happens 100% of the time. Dave

When lying under a car/truck, any dirt, dust, or rust kicked loose at your feet will still manage to get in your eyes.

If you crawl under the equipment being worked on armed with a 1/2, a 9/16 a 5/8, and 12,13,and 14mm wrenches, it will be a 17/32nds bolt. And it will be the only one on the entire machine.

a tree always looks bigger on the ground

no matter how many gaskets you have on the shelf, you still have to go buy one

mice or wasps can build a nest anywhere

Hi Leonard,

Here are some I could think of:

If you take the time to put a power tool back into its carrying case, you will need it again within minutes.

If you forget to bring a tool to the job you will need it. If you intentionally didn't bring it because you knew you wouldn't need it, at some point that day the whole job will depend on having that tool.

If you had to drag an extension cord across a bare gymnasium floor, it would catch on something.

There's no way to tell a helper how to do something that will keep them from doing what you said in a different way than you meant.

The only foolproof way to find out what's wrong with a new plan is to go ahead with it.

Good topic, Stan

If you toss a piece of toast with jelly up in the air it will usually land jelly side down, but sometimes it will stick to the ceiling.

If yoiu have a part located in one of ten rooms and yoiu go to look for it, it'll be in the last room you look in. Bernie Steffen

Can't add to the list cause everything I can think of has already been mentioned, but I will go out the door today knowing I'm not the only one with these problems. Thanks. Jim

Drop 100 screws on the floor, pick them all up. Dirink a beer and look again, at least 3 got missed.

Do not go into town until you halfway start ALL of your daily projects or you will forget something. What am I saying, you know it always takes 2 trips into town.

Thing always go wrong when you don't have time for things to go wrong. Nothing happens when you have all day.

Three things will ALWAYS hang up on a clear floor, extension cords, air hoses, and welding leads. I like the one on the shop vac, how true.

The further you have to walk, the more tools you need.
