just got a call from an elderly lady here at the shop, we work on her car a lot. she says "someone stole my tire!!! can you come out?" ok, i'll be right there. drive over to her house, her little escort is in the drive way, rt front tire is flat, bead knocked right off the rim. hmmmmm, knock on the door, i says you got a flat! she says, i think somebody stole the air out of it. she was dead serious!!! i ordered her a new tire.

I heard once of a little old lady who wrote her County Commissioners and asked if they could move the "Deer Crossing" signs somewhere else besides in front of her house.

She said she was tired of seeing deer hit by cars.

You gotta love 'em.

it was tough, had to bite my lip. we do a lot for the older folks here, small town , word gets around quick. change bulbs, fix flats, add oil for em, most of the time i give em freebies. they come in,, drink coffee at the shop, raid our candy dish, they are a lot of fun!!!! we have a big chain body shop also in town, they wont do anything for em unless they pay big $$$$, i just couldnt sleep at nite doing buisnesss that way.

thats funny but i saw on the news last week that someone stole all 10 tires and rims off a semi close by showed a pic they at least left it on blocks thats quite a job to do in the dark

Here is a story my father-in-law tells about my mother-in-law, and knowing her it is probably true. Once at a mall parking lot she locked her keys in the pickup truck. With no way in she smartly realizes that the rear window will slide open. She cleverly opens the rear window, climbs inside the truck and gets the key. She then climbs back out, goes around the truck, opens the door and gets in the normal way. I said, I could understand why she did this because it was easier for her to just reach in the window and get the key without having to climb all the way in. He laughs even more when he tells people the truck was full size with an extended cab.

this has been going on for years. Buddy found his with one tire left on it that the truck fell on as they were taking it off. Takes crew of men in Service truck & they never go more than few miles off Interstate.

I was told when was little guy just jack it up and turn it halfway around and it won't be flat.

When I saw the subject line,I thought this story was gonna be like the one Paul Harvey told quite a while back. A guy had an old refridgerator that he needed hauled away. Somebody was gonna charge him $25 for the removal,so he put it out on the front lawn with a For Sale sign on it and somebody stole it.

Had a frig that worked and was throwing out . Put a 150 dollar sign on it and sold. Set a pair of tires on the curb with wires showing and someone picked them up. You name it broken TV's last about 1 minute. Gave the garbage truck guy a 5 spot to take a tire on rim for a quick removal.

We do that all the time with our junk. Saves a run to the land fill. Stick it out next to the rd and with in a day it usually is gone.
Just goes to show you another mans junk is some one elses treasure.
