Soybean Spraying

First year trying soybeans. The soybeans are canopied and flowering. Is it ok to spray roundup and or insecticed at this time or should a person wait till after the pods are on the plant. Have a few spots with weeds coming through and would like to hit again with round up. It has been a very wet year for this area of South Dakota, so have to hope I don't get stuck. End of July and still mowing twice a week.

Don't let the weeds get big.

The weeds will start yield robbing when they are small.

You can spray RR beans at anytime and not hurt the yield. Same with insecticide.

Not a good idea to spray RR when flowering, or setting pods, will hurt yield. Did it last year and paid the price anyway, because the giant rags were sprouting everywhere. Figure loss at least 8-10 bu/acre. Insecticide at anytime. Ok to do RR later before harvesting but how much shatter loss and sprayer tire damage? The weeds would need to be pretty bad before I would try this route.
