Spark Plug Question

Hi All, I have been looking for spark plugs for my A-C WD45. In particular, the Autolite 295. I also had a resource that said I could use a 303. What are the differences between these plugs? I just went to the Autolite site and they have a search for 'Application Lookup'. It states that I should use an Autolite 85. What plug should I use?? Thanks, Ted

Autolite 295 works better with a magneto and Autolite 303 works better with a distributor. I do not recommend any Champion plugs. An experienced mechanic replaced the plugs in my 42 WC with Champion, I did not tell him to he was WORKING ON Another problem. Started it up and within 2 city blocks it was hitting on 2 cylinders. Pulled and cleaned the new plugs, and got another 2 blocks and missing again. Put in the old autolites that he had taken out and has been running ever since. that was 2 yrs ago.

So I'm not crazy. I have had the exact same experiance with Champion plugs missing almost immediatly in both a WD-45 and a MM Z. I replaced with AC plugs and no problem.

Non resistor plugs & metallic or copper core spark plug wires with a magneto. With battery distributor ignition you can use resistor type plugs or resistor or carbon core wires if you want but might have better luck with non resistor kind also. Autolite, AC, Denso, NGK but not Champion they foul bad and won"t clean or burn off the crud.
