Splitting a bleeding NAA

My Naa bleeds out more than a pint/day hydraulic fluid from between the differential housing and the transmission. I plan to separate the front and back and put in a new gasket. The leak does not seem to be coming from the two lines, although the dripping occurs near where the the lines meet the differntial housing.
My questions: 1) Is there any advice you can give besides draining the rest of the fluid first and pulling the PTO shaft?
2) Is it best to have one end of the tractor or the other stationary- which end will be easier to move?
3) Is there anything else I should look at while I'm up to my elbows in tractor?

The suction side of the hydro tubes has one 'O' ring under that 'cat's eye' shaped flange and the pressure side has two. Save yourself a BUNCH of trouble/work and buy TWO sets, pull the 4 bolts(2@ a time), and replace those B4 you rear split your Jube. IF that doesn't stop/slow the leaks, THEN you can split it knowing you needed to. Check your specs or ask here for torque as I have NO idea and play these semi-critical areas by 'feel'.

I already replaced the o rings and the leak was unchanged-- on with the fiesta!

IF you have GOOD/steady support and want to save yourself some work, you CAN just slip the 2 pieces just far enough apart to scrape the old gasket off both surfaces with a good flat blade.
Leave the 2 top 'corner' bolts in place as guides and cut the gasket thru those 2 bolt's holes. After cleaning, use a light spray stick-um on the paper and put it on in the 2 pieces. There's no pressure on that cavity and the tiny/hairline cuts up at the top won't bother anything. This way, you dont have to fool with pulling anything or lining it back up to put it back.
