I picked up a vac a while ago
that had been sitting for an
unknown amount of time. With a
bit of carb and ignition work I
brought the ole girl back to
life. Every once and a while the
clutch would hang up. It seemed
to go away after a while and I
figured it was just a bit of
rust on the input shaft. Well a
a few weeks ago I used the vac
to tow around a larger tractor
and worked it fairly well. Since
then the clutch has been hanging
up most of the time. I picked up
4 trailer jacks today to use as
supports with 2 of them having
wheels so I can roll one of the
half's away. Question is, where
is the safest place to mount to?
Also, do I have to take both the
arm from the steering box and
the arm, or does the linkage rod
come off like lift gate pistons
on cars?
