Spring Fever Hit

The weather change brought out the buying urge. My nephew found a couple of old tractors and one was an old 500 diesel. He was more interested in the other tractor so I bought the 500 from him. One rear tire holds air for about an hour and the other one the stem is rusted to where it wouldn't take air. Not sure how long it's been since it ran. Engine turns over good, small shot of either and it fired and quit. Looking in the tank it was bone dry so I will change filters, add fresh fuel and see what happens. Mean while I will have to see if I can come up with some good used rims and 18.4-30 tires. First buy for 2010.

Since it was so nice I decided to try and start the Case C that I had an accident with. Pulled it 3 ft and it fired right up. Was care full to make sure it didn't throw me again. I just backed it back into place and shut it off. Least I know it still runs. Pictures of the 500.

Great tractor wish it was mine, I had one a few years ago that was found in a barn, it was stuck and someone came along that wanted to buy it and I sold it for $500.00 i wish i would have kept it.

Straw and Ande that is what is left of a SP12. I bought it for the engine and then someone thought it was theirs and smashed the back end. It is now sold and will be picked up someday. I do have my eyes on another one that may be a good restorer. Other than tractors I have several Case plows and an old NCM manual wire tie baler.

Hail!! CASEMAND Those tires don't LOOK that bad unless there is a gaping hole or Bad sidewall damage. Boot those tires UP!! RE-TUBE em if ya Have to. The tread looks good -aggressive. NEAT TRACTOR!!!

Great find. Out of all my tractors I like my 500 the best. What a great plow tractor. I bet it will run with fuel and new filters.
