Starter drive ring lock for 8N

I am trying to find just a ring lock that goes at the end of the starter drive that holds everything in place for my 1951 8N. I bought a new starter without the drive assembly since mine was good....in retrospectI should have just bought the starter with the drive! When we tried to put the drive assembly back on the ring broke! In my parts book it gives a part # 52-11373. Any suggestions on where this small piece can be purchased? I tried my local TSC store, but they said their distributors don"t sell that and I also looked on this site and couldn"t find it.

You might actually try postin gthis ont he board that deals SPECIFICALLY with 9N, 2N, and 8N.. all which use the same starter.

if you are lucky, some people have kept their old drives and save dthe pieces when they came apart.. though most of us have a few pieces flaoting around in the bell housing..etc...

Any older six cylinder ford truck or (4)industrial like on 904 N.H. Balers use the same small drive parts in my experiance ... ALAN B .
