Steel Ball

I looking for the steel ball that is between the throttle control lever and plate for an 8n. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Try a hardware store. Also, I've pried the ball loose and turned it around till I had the round side showing and clamped it back shut. Mal

I found them on ebay. Had to buy a package of 10 but they were fairly cheap.

I walked into the hardware store with the throttle lever in my hand and found one in seconds. 50 cents or something. Get one that is just a little big that will go in with one gentle hammer tap. Then gently close the gap in the arm just a little next to the ball to hold it. Bingo!

3/8" ball bearing. It was designed to roll in its housing and really works great when it does. Usually gums up quickly though.
