steering priority valve stuck

about 10 years ago I parked my 856 IH and to day I started it for the first time as I thought it started on the first revolution of the engine the TA. works good 3 point and hydraulics work good, but haven't anney brakes or power steering.
apparently the priority valve has stuck open,
wondering if anney one has a diagram for the TA. control valve on an 856 as that seems to be the take out porters for the sterling and brakes.
Thanks Lew

If they are the same I have had mine apart on my 706 a dozen times as it did not run when I got it and they are fairly simple. I just took things off and laid them in oreder and went back together in reverse and everything worked perfectly. After a bunch of messin around I found out that the steering pump was wore out and when it stopped in a certain spot I would loose everything that it controlled. I think you will have good luck. In the bottom rear corner there is a spring if it is original TA and be sure to not loose that spring.

Hi Lew,

It's just not all that critical.

Flip 'er upside down and make sure it is relatively parallel to the carb lid and it'll run fer 50 years or so.
