can someone tell me the diffance between a stock tractor & classic tractor? come on everyone i need this info thanks

i think its an era of tractors when the six cylinders became popular.1958-1970-ish.ih 560,806, jd 4010,ac d21 ect. not quite antique but classic

"stock" tractors are tractors that generally pull in the MPH classes and have stock external components at least, there are lots of "gray areas" here however. Classics are allowed more RPM and higher if any speed limits depending on the sponsoring assn. and area of the country. In our area there are no RPM limits or track speed limits in the Classic classes and most Stock use a 3.5 MPH limit. This really a broad generalization and I hope others will help clarify it , but it really has nothing to do with early or later 4-6 cylinder or years of tractors at least in our area. mEl

It all depends on the person(s) putting on the pull. Rules are typically geared toward their tractors.
