store closed

I remember hearing that dealer name from the past. I'm not sure how many stores they had ?

Would not surprise me though as many are and getting bought up by Shearer Equipment. They have quite a few now.

The Finton Equipment store in Coshocton and Zanesville Ohio was sold to JD Equipment head quartered in London Ohio,, they are closing the Coshocton store completely, and keeping the Zanesville store open, the take over is scheduled for mid-March..I live half way between the JD Lancaster store and the Zanesville store, I have been dealing primarily with the Fintons in Zanesville. So John Deere Company has allowed to eliminate some more store competition...The JD equipment has about 8 stores here in central Ohio.

Same thing is happening in my part of NE Wisconsin. Reisterer & Schnell has been buying out the local JD Dealers for the last 5 years. They now have 8. We still have one independent JD dealer left about 3 miles from me, Eis Implement, and hopefully they will remain. If they should sell out to Reisterer, then we will no longer have any competion in my area of the state (Green Bay). The good thing is they have not closed any of the stores they took over. And our closest CNH dealer is 50 miles away too.

Just don't believe what their combine hour meters say...they were/are notorious for swapping hour meters in combines...

they are closing the coshocton store because shearer cryed to john deere as jd eq would own two sides of them. to bad it is just buisness.

Do you judge a machine by the hour meter? Or the wear that a machine shows? With this newer equipment you can check the serial numbers with another dealer and get the previous owner contact number and call them directly if you are unsure of a piece of equipment.
