Strange tractor

I was talking to an owner of one at a show in South-Central Ontario. He said the GP (and a model of IH crawler I can't remember) were popular units for logging where he was from, and there were quite a few GP's sitting at old logging camps in his neck of the woods. He scrounged some up in any condition and shipped a few transport loads to the US because they'd fetch great prices with collectors down there. I can't remember how many he said would fit on a transport (I'm thinking maybe 5 or 6?). But he said the selling price of one would pay for all the trucking and loading costs, the rest was profit.

What state is it in? I've been looking for one for a long time and that's about the lowest price for one running I've seen. You should see the prices most people are getting for them!
