Chad you posted that the pull got moved from Mentone to Ackron on here and I seen it and called you. One week before that Jim said that it was going to be at Mentone and that he had called everyone and that was the way that it was going to be. I thought that you guys would have been calling people and letting them Know. My Dad called me tonight when I got from work he does the scheduling as you know and he wasnt told. If you are going to put the pull on you need to talk to the person who does the scheduling of the pulls. The way it should have been handled was that the person doing the scheduling should have been called so that when he got phone calls he could tell people.

Another problem. Narrowed the rods to 1.25'' to clear between the cam. Still hits the lobes just a little. Where to clearance - the lobe or the rod? Also what is the best way to take that ridge of the back side of the rod?

See this cam?

This is cut for a 1.5 wide rod and a 6 inch stroke. Id have to keep cutting the center down to swing more stroke. Im looking for rod pictures,,,,,

The back of the rods must be ground to the basic, base of the rod, then, maybe more.

Ive rough cut em with a hand grinder, then finish up with a big belt sander to make em look good. You need .080 between the rods and cam at all tight areas. Hope this helps. Cut both if you must. Chad

I just got my father's IH 656 tractor back from ChadS on Wednesday and boy what a mess! He had it for almost 3 months and had almost destroyed it. When we picked it up it was in pieces and they were spread everywhere, the floor, the footpads, buckets sitting around! I'm still not sure we got all of it! I urged my dad to recheck what little Chad had done and we found to name a few items; broken bolt in pressure plate (new clutch), old torn gaskets....when Chad removed the oil filter housing and govenor housing he just bolted them on the new motor! Didn't even clean off the old gaskets! We found dirt in the block, loose bolts, STRIPPED threads from over tightening! It was insane!

All I can say is he is not his father.......

If anyone wants more info please email me or find my dad at the tractor pulls......

Awful
