my friend told me too free up a stuck motor he pours cole-a-cola [pop] in the cylinders !!! works in a few days ??? wow !!! is he right ??

Yes! It does work. The phosphoric acid will eat away the rust. We used it on one of our tractors and it worked like a charm. I think I drank what I couldn't use with a little Crown Royal.

We've used it also. Works good. Keep in mind though it is a SEASONAL fix. Maybe wait until you see robins before filling the cylinders.

I tried it once but it did not work. I also tried every other concoction known to man for about a year. None of them worked. I did get them loose but it took between 58000 - 72000 psi on a 100 ton press. They came out smooth as silk with that much pressure. We were worried and took alot of safety measures to ensure no one being injured if they came out like a rocket. I wish you luck. P.S It took alot of Crown and Coke and Barley pops to leading up to pressing em that high.

I all ways use a spark plug that I took apart and welded a grease fitting onto the end , and then put it into the plug hole and make sure the valves are closed and pump grease into the cylinder, and this will push any stuck piston out . This creates a lot of pressure ,and evenly pushing it out and you can control it so it does not shoot out the other end.

The grease gun has been working here for years, and you can crank one and find out why it got parked after getting it loose.

I bet that unstuck you lol. And to think what pop does to our innards lol.....I remember in vo-tech a friend bought a couple cans to put in a motor....one went in the cylinders the other in him.

I had used rhubarb juice to unstick a 220 power unit with aluminum pistons. It took alittle while but it did work. I think that makes a difference also what works--cast iron or aluminum pistons.

My uncle uses acetone (finger nail polish remover). His daughters were tired of not having any because he would always take thiers and use it, so they bought him a jug for Christmas. Don't worry - we give him plenty of sh!t.

I HAVE USED BRAKE FLUID, AND NOW USE PB BLASTER PEN.OIL THAT WORKS WELL,JUST TAKE YOUR TIME WHAT EVER YOU DO, BECAUSE YOU CANT RUN TO TOWN TO BUY WHAT YOU WRECK ANYMORE.

We use another tractor and hook up a hydralic hose and pump fluid into the other tractors pistons via the spark plug hole. It works every time and it usually works right away. Also you could use transmission fluid.

What it takes to free an engine up depends on why its stuck, and perhaps on what part of the country it happened to be in and how long it has been sitting.

In my experience, the tractors that have been left to sit with open exhaust have been stuck the worst. And you can expect to spend the most money getting back to a useable engine too.

In the past I have tried olive oil, Lime Away, Transmission fluid, penetrating oil, grease, sledge hammer, hydraulic jack, to get different engines unstuck.

In 2006 I worked on a UC-60 power unit that came out of a salvage yard. It really wasn't stuck bad as some of the Molines, but it stuck itself back up twice over a two week period after I initially freed it up. I finally knocked the pistons out and honed the cylinders and honed them.
