stuck sprayer video

I've watched quite a few videos about getting stuck machines out, and I've been there myself more than I care to remember. This stuck sprayer video from ND this spring is probably the best (worst?) I've ever seen. Things just keep going from bad to worse.

The bigger they are,the stucker they get. I don't know about Rusted Nuts, but when I first spun a wheel on a well driller I stoped and got it up on wood. Sure saved a lot work.

yep got bout 10 or 15 3x8 here, I'v pushed blocking 2 feet down in a corn field with the out riggers getting the rig hight nough to slip them planks under the wheels

A sprayer was the weak one of the bunch. The crawler and trackhoe can't be hurt much but a sprayer just isn't built for that kind of pulling. We got combines stuck quite a few times in Oklahoma over the years but one time we had one in too deep for a tractor to pull out. A cat came from a nearby oilfield to do the job. He did the same thing this cat did, he dug himself down on purpose and then winched the combine out. Only this time the cat could drive out of the hole. The cat guy didn't charge nearly what we thought he would. He said it was kind of fun to get away from the work he did every day to do this job. Jim

In the 1980s I had a Gleaner L stuck with a full bin of wheat to the point a 100 horse tractor wouldn't budge it.

Hired a local cat and operator. He hooked to it and was far enough away from the soft soil he just drove right out with it. Think he charged $50 which I considered a bargain because it didn't tear anything up. Thanks Ted!

Wow, what a mess. You'd never see me standing that close to a cable/chain with that much tension on it, if that thing snapped, it would cut you in half before you could even look surprised.

Thanks for posting the link, makes most of my bad days not seem so bad.

That had to be in the Red River Valley. Very flat land with poor drainage and about 8 foot of really good black soil not very far above the water table. Can really turn into gumbo quick. Just driving down the interstate can be an interesting trip in wet years. Seems they get something stuck, then something else stuck trying to get it out and something else stuck trying to get that out. We stuck 3 7700 JD bines that were parked near an access in 73. We were just trying to get em out of the field and couldn't move 20 feet after 3 days of rain. Then got 2 7020s hooked up so one was on the road to drag em out. Seen 4X4 tractors out there with 12 tires on em stuck so deep you could only see the very tops of the tires. been so wet int he fall those guys over there have to sometimes wait for freeze up to harvest beans.
