what’s the best way to loose stuck valves in a 8n tractor? atf in the spark plug holes,

I’d pull the head, give them a light tap tap tap and some good penetrant around the seats. Probably some other issues in there you can take a look at. It’s a dead tractor, you can’t kill it any more.

I fill the cylinders with ATF and also pour as much as I can down the exhaust. With the hood off you can push/drive the valves down by way of the spark plug holes but be careful not to damage the treads for the plugs

Pull the covers off of the right side and shoot your favorite juice in there. Becarful with a small hammer and a big straight screw driver and work the stems. You can break a retainer. Take your time.

they stick when warming up after about five minutes the all work

Put some 10 weight oil or what you have, into the gas tank with the gas, half tank of gas; its a upper lub. Then run the tractor for a while to get the oil into the cylinders and on valve stems and guides.

I use Marvel Mystery Oil in the gas and the oil when that happens.
It's cheap and has always worked for me.
Put a quart in the tank and a pint in the oil.

Mix a quart of ATF to 3 gal of gas and run it that way. The ATF cleans and lubes the valves as it runs.
