Super 55 steering

I have a 1955 super 55 diesel. The steering has gotten really hard to turn. The front end checks fine. I am sure the problem lies in the bearings in the steering shaft or the steering box. I am going to pull it apart Sunday. Does anyone have a schematic drawing they could email or fax me? I would rather know what I am dealing with before I start up. I have a master service manual and can't find this broken down in it. Thanks in advance. You guys have really helped me out alot.

My S55 diesel did the same thing, bearings were badely rusted. Click on "parts & pieces" in the column to the left then search for "oliver steering" and you will find several photos of my steering box rebuild. It is a pretty basic unit, easy to rebuild. Just make sure that you line up the sector teeth via the marks when you reassemble the box.
