saw a nice original Super 88 gas with a wide front bring 3,000 in SE Minnesota this fall. Your location will help in determining a value---where do you live?

Tire prices have gone crazy. Those brand new rears are worth nearly $1000 and condition of tires is one thing I really consider now when looking at a tractor. The super 88 diesel is one of my favorites and J. Meyer"s price is in the ballpark.

A 57 and later has some improvements on it. and to me would be worth more than the early ones. A friend of mine purchased a late 56 to "pull wagons with" wide front pretty clean tractor for less. Around here there were about 15 diesels to one gas so it may be the gas is on the rare side.

I am in midwest wisconsin, and I looked again and they are 14.9X38 on the rear and it is a wide front also, I know a guy who has one and he wants 2000 for it, I was going to make my John deere A a puller but I think I might buy this one to pull and keep the JD original. im confused on what to do right now

Where in WI are you? I'm in your area of the state it looks like. You'll be much happier building the 88 to pull rather than the deere. Our 88 is 450 ci. and we beat the 800 cube deeres everytime, no problem.

I live in menomonie, I think I am going to go with the ollie, the guy said he would hold it for me until spring and I can pull it then decide whether to buy it or not, seems like I cant loose with that logic!!
