Super 99 Hyd delete

What is everybody doing to remove the hydraulics on the 99GM's I would like to remove the pump but not sure about a cover plate, I looked at the 6cyl's and they aren't the same. Thanks

Gordey: You will need to find a "blank" plate from another 71 series engine. Right & Left side plates should be the same if I remember right and from any 71 inline series for sure.

The cover you need is a Detroit Diesel part. It"s not hard to find. It is commonly used on inline and V configurations. Or, you could just remove the coupler between the shaft and the pump and keep the pump for a cover. The hydraulic pump won"t be turning if you remove the coupler.
