Super A pull type mower.

I was wondering if a Super A could handle a pull type rotary cutter that came off an H. The owner says it is heavy, but as scarce as they are around here, I figured it would be worth consideration.

Here's a pic.

Woodby, under some conditions it would be a load for the 'H' , so doubt if the super 'A' could handle it unless trimming short grass. just my input. regards, Bob

A Super A is a bit smaller in HP then an H so much over 5 foot is going to be to big for a Super A. But again all depends on what your cutting and if you can take half cuts

Another problem you might have is with the off-set PTO on the Super A. The PTO shaft may want to bind when you make sharp turns with a pull type mower. My neighbor has a rotary mower mounted to the rear of his Super A, but it's bolted to the draw bar. The draw bar hinges up and down with the lift.

You could always put a small gas engine on the mower for power and just pull it with the SA.
If the equipment will do the job you need done and it is hard to come by or too expensive in another form then figure out a way to make it work in your budget.

How wide is it? It looks like an old Woods mower. I have one. Mine is a D080 and its real heavy. I run it with a 60hp Massey.
