super c fast hitch trouble

I have a super c fast hitch, goes up fast and does not labor motor.On the down cycle it goes real slow and boggs down the motor. thanks for any help

Nothing wrong with it. It has a hi way mower valve in it to retard lowering. I have 2 with fast hitch. One does the same as yours and the other does not. Check with your IH dealer and for a good price he can sell you the other valve.

its supposed to go down slow there is a retarder in the line to make it go down slow

After thinking about it there is two possibilities Mine with the hi way mower valve was for a mid mount mower and not fast hitch. The fast hitch with the valve for it will likely just have a retarding valve that Gene mentioned in the elbow where the hose hooks to the cylinder. You can just take it out and install one without the valve. That will make it work the same speed up and down. For my valve, I have to change the spool in it. Yours should be a cheap fix.
