Super C hydraulic pump

They used a number of different pumps over the years. There should be an IH part number stamped on the pump somewhere. Either that or a manufacturer's name and maybe a model number cast into the body. Sometimes you can get away with just the shaft seal and probably a speedy sleeve, while re-using the other seals and gaskets. In that case, just take the old seal to a bearing supply place and ask them to match it.

In looking at my IH TC-44B Super C Parts Catalog there were two difference manufactures of the hydraulic pump used on the SC. They were supplied by Pesco and Thompson with different part nos. and several internal differences noted. If you have access to this Catalog there are some physical features on the top of the pump which would indicate which pump you have on your tractor. If you can post a picture of your pump showing the top very clearly I could tell you from my catalog what model pump you have. There are four different kits shown in the part catalog one of which is common to all hydraulic pumps which contains only the gasket and two o-rings on the back side common to the tubes which run to the touch control unit. There are three kits for the internals of the pump - two for the different Pesco pumps and one for the one made by Thompson. If you have the Thompson pump only one service kit is shown for all of their pumps. For a Pesco pump there are two different service kits shown depending on what pump model you have. It is somewhat vague but the front oil seal might be the same for both manufacturers. You probably need to take your pump to a CaseIH dealership for the correct kit if it is a Pesco pump otherwise the Thompson service kit it listed in my catalog as part no. 360957R91 and it might have since been updated with a new number since my catalog has a May 1960 print date. Hope all of this is not too confusing and is of some assistance in your needs, Hal.

Here's a parts breakdown on the Pesco pump. Hal

Simple just remove it then you will know which one you have as the seals are different. So remove and take it apart then yu can get the correct seal and the shaft may be worn and need a speedy sleeve and that could mean some machine shop work but you wont know till its apart.

The woodruff key way is worn pretty bad on the shaft and the ID of the gear is also worn.
The speedy sleeve u reference will correct the gear? This will require machine shop time. I am not familir with a speedy sleeve, is it available at the Case/IH dealer
