What are the differences between a Super H and and H?

(this is not a complete guide, just a basic answer)
There are two main differences, they are engine displacement, Bigger in SH, and disk brakes. Though very late Hs had disk brakes. This does not count Lambert disk brakes that were add on to all Hs and Ms three bolt attachment to housing, and say Lambert on them.
Stage one SH were basically those changes, and a different M style carb, and pancake sealed beam lights.
Later SHs, Stage 2, were also equipped with live hydraulics and a battery under the seat. Again this is basic main differences. JimN

In addition to Jim's info, a major difference was faster gearing, notably 3rd and 4th. 3rd in the SH is 5 mph, nearly identical to 4th in the H. 4th in the SH is 6 5/8 mph compared to 5 1/8 in the H. Therefore the main selling points were disk brakes, larger engine, and faster gearing. The Stage 2 SH added live hydraulics. Changes from the M to the Super M were nearly identical.

Thanks for the info. Do you have any idea when the stage 2 Super H's were started and/or how many of them were made? It appears they may have started late 53---?
