Super M Power steering

The neighbor down the road has an H with power steering and live hydraulics. I was wondering if all of the parts would transfer from the H over to the Super M. Also should I buy the P.S. bracket from steiner tractor and mount a diffrent pump or is there a way to plumb the pump so it can run the SCV and the powering steering motor.

Thanks for the help.

Zac

I don't know if the live pump from his H will fit the SM, but with a live pump, you could use a "priority flow divider valve" to supply both. The dis-advantage I see with my tractor is when idled down, you still have steering, but you can lose your secondary flow to the SCV.

Does the distributor drive the same way on the Super M as it does on the H or are the timing gears different? I thought that the live pump was the same between all of the tractors.

Thanks again

It is all the same. The diesels drow the oposite direction.

Super H & 300/350 gas was a specific pump, mtg gasket was different shape, 350 diesel was specific, Farmall & International (utility) were not different but engine specific. M/SM/400/450 were same (gas M you just filed the mount holes slightly), gas & diesel wont interchange.
