Super M Pullin problem

Ok I'm on the edge of tearing my tractor apart and rebuilding it from ground up. I need to know what do you recommend for pullin? I currently have a overbore kit on order, do I get a new cam? Should I purchase a new head (450) or should I stick with the Super M head and mill it down? I don't want to waste money, but I do what a competitive trator. So any advice is greatly appreciated.

I would go with the 450 head mill it and big valve it. I would go with a 6 1/2 inch strock or maybe even 7.If you want to get your money's worth call up Paul Marlatt out of rushvill ind he can set you up.

I really want to stroke it, but i've been told i have to pull the block and grind out part of the block. If i can get away from grinding the block down then ok. Also I've seen the stroker kit around 1900.00 dollars(little much) and I still have in the box a semi modified governor and 4.125 overbore kit.

Put a V-8 in it for 1/3 the cost, but then you would have to put up with the "not stock appearing" whiners as you collect your trophies.

If ya wanna keep the 4.125 bore, you can stroke it up to 6 inches. Mostly rod and cam grinding,,, some areas at the bottom of the bores and a few tiny spots,,,, not bad to do in an afternoon. If you want to cut less, find a 5-3/4 stroker,,,,, still a nice low end torque engine, and still be able to be used on the farm if needed. Hope this helps, ChadS [email protected]
