T020-PTO Fluid

What oil is available for these trannies now? I read somewhere that the original gear oil recommendation is no longer available.
Massey still supplies the old M1103 oil, which is the original specs, but the prices is higher than a giraffe's nnalert. I recommend our customers go to Tractor Supply. I know it's counterproductive to send customers to the competition, but I just can't charge them Massey's price with a clear conscience.

I've got the oil. :)

I've had an oil leak at the PTO area for some time now. I don't use the tractor much anymore (I'm 75) but I would like to fix it if it's not too much work. I checked the bolts around the PTO cover, and the studs underneath the tractor, and everything is tight.

Is it just a matter of draining the oil, taking the cover off, and replacing the seal and gasket? If it's more work than that, I probably won't bother with it.
That seal can be a pain. I replaced the PTO shaft entirely as it had the original smaller stub and I had to use an adapter. This site had the pto shaft with the bearing housing and seal already assembled for a litter over a hundred bucks i think. Well worth it.
