Without buying from Dennys where can i get a easy to read low RPM tach. THe glow-shift tach on ebay i heard enough problems dont want to go that route.

I got a glow-shift and had problems until I changed plug wires you can't run solid core wires you have to run spiral wrapped like Accel
mine now works great it has a shift set button that you can set for max rpm or to control speed

I have a Denny"s tach, and I had the same problem. I had to switch to Accel wires and suppressor plugs. So far, I"m happy with the Denny"s tach, and Sunpro white face gauges from AutoZone match it. All white face gauges make a nice looking dashboard.

I have gone with a Stewart Warner shift light that has a digital readout in the middle of it. Ordered from Summit.

I had seen a cable driven universal tach a puller had got for his oliver, 2500 rpm, black face with white numbers, and green at night. (Id have to find a red bulb for mine! LOL!) Not sure where he got it from, but was about 115-120 bucks for it with the cable. ChadS

I got a SW 3 3/8 dia electronic tach and pickup for 230$ at NAPA for my 830 com diesel.Love it.Have to drill and tap belhousing for pickup unit to read teeth on flywheel.Reads 0-3500rpm.Hope this helps. Later Hoss

Check e-bay for Digitron electronic racing kart tach"s. They are configureable for 1,2,or 4 cyl., most have memory and backlight. The lead attaches to a plug wire. Should be under a hundred bucks.
