I'm wondering if anyone may have a supplier for a rotor button. I can't purchase from YT because they won't sell to Canada. I have a 1954 Te-A20 with the Standard 85mm engine. It appears to be the early style Lucas Distributor. I managed to find the proper points, condenser, spark plugs, plug wires and distributor cap with the screw in thimbles but the rotor button I got is too small. I re-used the original button rotor but it's cracked and loose where it sits on the shaft. I can't seem to find a source for one. Anyone have any leads on one?

Thanks, Joe

Sparex quote the Rotor Arm as Part No S.42374 (equivalent to MF Part No 829927M1) [u:2ad6cde631][b:2ad6cde631]but[/b:2ad6cde631][/u:2ad6cde631] states that that suits the TEA20, TED20, Standard 85 mm and 87 mm engine.

Sparex quote an "early distributor" and "later 25D distributor" for different TEA20 points but does not quote two part numbers for TEA20 distributor rotor arms.

Not sure if that is the correct part for your distributor? John (UK) will know.

Sparex is now owned by AGCO so any M-F Dealer in Canada should be able to help you.

Thank you Bob ! I have a Massey Dealer very close-by. I should be able to check with them tomorrow.

Best regards, Joe.

Do you have a BEARCO over there? I get my parts from them in Aust..
They are in the US but don't know if the same crowd. If you are unsuccessful.. get on here and I will try them for you..I have 2 avenues.

Thank you John and everyone else. The tractor is running really well at the moment but I don't want to end up broke down with a broken rotor button.

Same rotor and dist. cap on all the Standard engines. Only the points are different.

Sparex S.42374 is correct as said.

That is the Sparex Canada site, Central East Farm Supply, click on "find distributor", and type in a location.

'm not an expert and I might be putting my foot in my mouth, so I'm taking my shoes off now. I'm not to sure what you said about the [b:77879b7111]"Same rotor and dist. cap on all the Standard engines"[/b:77879b7111] is correct. The reason I'm saying this is I have been looking for a new cap, rotor & wires for my TEA20. I had a set of everything sent to me, I was told all parts were off the same year tractor. Everything was close but not close enough. The cutouts on the bottom were the same but moved 1/4 over to the original so it wouldn't sit on my distributor, & the towers were wrong also. Mine has the threaded locks for the wires & new one never had this. And last but not least, the rotor was wrong. Now maybe they sent me the wrong stuff? But that's my experience.
The kind I need is in the photo below.

Trucker, what year is that Fergy?

The starter motor doesn't look right for a late 12 volt TEA20. Is is a 6 volt TEA20?

t's a 1951. It was switched over to 12 volt before I bought it. But I'm not too sure that it was all done correctly though. since I bought it I've been finding out that quite a few things that the seller/rebuilder said he did weren't all true. And some of the things that he did do he didn't do correctly. It's not running right now, and it never did run well. Then One day it just wouldn't start. It's a mix of carb/fuel problems combined with the sparking system. I'll include some more photos so you can see more of the Fergy. So if something does not look right [b:88e53630d2]please let me know[/b:88e53630d2] or if you want to see something you want a better look at let me know, as it's easy to get a photo..

Thanks...Bill
