Here she is, I'm calling it done. Still have a few spots to touch up but its running right and I'm happy. Went for a short ride today that was peacfull until I heard tires screeching behind me and I turned around to see a small SUV do a hard swerve manuver around me, another close call, I'm guessing they were on the phone or texting. Heres some before and afters. I started the restore in early January 2010 and had been acumulating parts for 2 years. Tractor was purchased spring 2008 and run for untill January so that I could evaluate everything. 9n40570

John It looks great I hope you are feeling as good as it looks now
the chrome sets it off real nice
Great job.
They need to make a bumper sticker that say
"Honk if you love Jesus Text while driving if you want to meet him"
When you taking it to a show?

You did a great job!! I, too, just finished a '40, except mine doesn't look that good. Where did you buy your rear tires? Bert

The tires were on the 32" rims when I bought them, they are Stomil brand and show made in Poland. I won them on ebay and drove to west of St Louis to get them which is about a 4.5 hour drive each way from here (near Rock Island, IL)

Beautiful job John!!!!!!......glad to hear that inatentive driver didn't nail you or your tractor....they probably never expected to see a tractor tooling down the city road....

I added this to my tractor, then added all the lights. The tail light shines up on it at night and really alluminates the SMV sign...

I called the local police and quizzed them about driving my tractor around our little city of 80,000....they told me they would leave me alone, as long as I obeyed traffic rules and had the SMV sign attached...I go wherever, whenever without any interference....can't get rid of idiot drivers though.

Have fun with your N.

The heatshield is original equipment for the 9ns but not an easy item to locate. The foot boards are aftermarket

i would like to find a steering wheel like the old one in the photo. would it be for sale? or anyone have one that is? btw this is a awsome job. thanks for sharing

What a gorgeous tractor! That could be a museum piece. What you have done is a true restoration. What I have done to my “Sven” is a far cry from that. I sure hope your health issues are temporary.
