We have been bothered by recoons getting into the garbage can (replaced with a taller can with lockable lid) and raiding the birdseed supply (replaced the plastic can with a metal one). Set out a live trap and caught some. They have been covered with fleas. The coons have gotten to go be training tools for some coon hounds with the hound mans promise that the coons won't come back.

Last Friday morning I came very close to running over a big fat one crossing the road near my house. He was leaving a corn field and going to a soybean field. If I had been up to freeway speeds that coon would have been history. I put on the brakes, didn't really want the underside of my car fuzzy and greasy. I don't have any problems with'em in my yard, just a few deer that come and munch on the apples and grapes.

Fleas, I can take, but those coons are heavily infested with large Roundworms in this neck of the woods.

They have been tearing up everybodys feed sack around here people are poisioning them and trapping and killing htem so it will stop.
