They started picking seed corn today.

They started harvesting seed corn today. It's neat to see a corn picker put ears of corn in transfer trailer. Trailer runs it over to side of road and gently transfers it to semi trailer.

It reminds me when corn was actually picked and stored in a crib.

Monsatan at Farmer City,IL is going to start Thursday. They have sprayed several fields with salt but some are dying from a virus and have been sprayed with fungicide several times.

Stooks? Back about (or is it "aboot") 65-66 years ago I used to gather the bundles from the McCormick-Deering corn binder and set them into shocks here in Michigan that looked just like the pictures.
