This week's project.

My old Bush Hog needed some love.
Lower seals were leaking pretty bad and it needed some general attention here and there.
I started this project last fall but could not get the stump jumper off - even with the giant puller I made for that purpose and it Must come off to get at the seals. So I ordered a new stump jumper last fall and got back to the project on Saturday.
Had to use the smoke wrench and cut it off.
Then I pulled the gear box apart and ordered a pair of speedi sleeves, new seals and new gaskets.
It's sat outside for the dozen or more years I've owned it and was getting pretty rusty too.
Seals etc won't be in till later in the week so I had the deck sandblasted then brush primed it yesterday and brushed on 2 coats of paint today. I'll have more $ in it than I could sell it for but less than a cheapy new King Kutter would cost and I have room to keep it inside a shed now.
I'll be 73 in July and am hoping it's fixed up well enough to last 'the duration'...

As I would expect of you, you've done a fine job!
:)

BTW, I've joined the 4000 row crop club! Bought last year with a bad motor. Rebuilt it. Had a good plow day with it, no issues. I'm impressed with the power of that 3 cylinder gas motor.

I did the same in 2015 I swapped the gear box to a better mower. I wish I had the get up and go I had back then. This jumper gave me a fit.

Thanks for all the likes and nice replys fellas!
I got the seals, etc yesterday but the gaskets aren't in yet. I generally mow in June some time and again late August or September so there's no big hurry on things.
Curt Cooke Do you have any photos of your row crop?
Mine was a lot of fun but wasn't real practical for my needs. So I sold it and bought the loader tractor you see in the photos above.

No gaskets for the gear box from Bush Hog yet so I'm fixing other things on it - wobbly tail wheel, checking Ujoints, etc.
The safety chain rack on the left side in the photo was missing completely so I bought some chain and made a new set yesterday. They do make the machine a little safer.
