Cutting some first cut hay today (most fields here are due for a second cut) and it is an overgrown mess. There's lots of thistle (around here we call'em fissles) and I noticed my haybine did a remarkable job both knocking all of the fissle seeds off the heads as well as replanting them to insure a bumper crop next year. I'm just really glad it's not my field.
