Tire Hardening

I know that this subject had been brought up a thousand times most likely. I was curious if anybody knew of anybody that hardened tires for pulling around the southwest ohio region. Or the closest place. Or what do you people suggest to do to get newer tires harder. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was just wondering the same thing earlier today. I know there is a Place called Hoosier Pulling that does it. NorthWest of INDY. But that is all that I know of. I wish I knew of some more!

Don't waste your time or money it does not work very well, better off spending it to find good old hard tires.

Nichols is in southern ohio. Maybe find his contact info on Pulloff.com. Hawthorne is out west. Hoosier as mentioned before would also be good. There are several ways to do this. Whoever you go with, find out their method. It would pay for you to buy a durometer from a speed shop. This way you could check the rubber hardness before and after.

Stick them on top of an aluminum tinned roof for a while, all summer. Most are using heat to harden them. A grain dryer piped into a grain bin for one also some use an old smoke house but heat is the key. It usally cost $250 to get it done. I've never heard good results from people that used chemicals.
