Tire sizes for trailer

I'm building a trailer to haul my stuff to Williamsfield tractor show for flea market.. My issue is what tire size can I put on K-5 Blazer rally wheels.. I want to stay under 31-10.5-15 tires as the OD of the tire is real close to fender brackets.. The rally wheels are 8" at the bead.. I don't want narrow tires with bulging sidewalls.. Looks "hokey"...I need a smaller OD with wide enough bead to fit wheels..

235's will look all stretched out on 8" rims.

You need a tire with at least a 265 tread width, preferably a 285.

If you want to keep the overall diameter down, go with a 70, 65, 60, or lower profile number.

Call your local tire shop for the right size tire. I think my LT245s are on an eight inch rim.

Your diameter, section width and rim width are a strange combination. I think you're pretty well limited to 265 width tires, and even they'll have a slightly wider section width than you want. Basically, the wheels you want to use are too wide compared to the diameter restrictions you have.

Roy, I see you are being told 235/75X15 will look "stretched out" on 8" rims. They are designed to go on 8" rims. The LT version usually run a little wider profile than a car tire, that is why I recommended them. That is what I would have recommended to any customer that walked in the door of my tire shop. They should give you the clearance on the sidewall you need.

Remember the OP says he needs to keep the section width under 10 1/2 inches. Even a 235 will have a greater section width when mounted on an 8" rim than the OP says he has room for. There are several options if he were to use wheels with 6 1/2 or 7 inch rim width. The 8" wide wheels are his problem.
