Tire Slime ....?

Has anyone used this ? I have a 15.5" x 38" on My Super M and its got a slow leak . Any idea how much to use for a tire this large ..?

We use tire sealer a lot in tractor/combine tubeless tires,many times installed with a new tire to prevent small puncture leaks. It prevents about 50-90% of tire/rim leaks. Make sure you get the type that contains ethelene glycol (antifreeze) as that will not corrode rims like some other mixtures. Should be a chart on the jug to tell how much for a given tire size.
I have not had that great a luck with it in tube type tires, my theory is that the sealer gets hung up in the tube and never reaches the rim/tire leak.

i use tire slime in a number of my stuff. we have a lot of hawthorne trees around my property, and the spines are real hard on tires. i have slime in one m, about a quart in each front tires, about 2 quarts in each rear, if the tires are loaded with liquid or chloride, slime wont work. also use slime in the zero turn mowers and the 4 wheelers and golf cart too.

We use the cream colored stuff (maybe 1/2 to a pint per tire) in the tubes on the front of the 8N with very good results. I do not know if it is sealing the tubes or the tires. Before we spent as much time repairing tubes & tires as we did using the N.

at least a couple of gallons there is a lot of surface to cover inside that size tire

We buy it buy the 5 gallon bucket, well not slime but I never have seen much difference in brands. No one knows if it will fix the leak on your tire because we don't know where the leak is coming from. If it is in the tread area then most likely it will stop it. But once it starts up the sidewall then it is less likely to work. Or if it is the valve stem or core that is leaking. That tire is most likely has a tube so the leak is not really in the tire but in the tube. So to answer your question I would say maybe but probably not. The best is to find the leak and proceed from there.

yes it will work i used the cheap stuff from tractor supply in my 13.6 38 i put 2 containers in that are for car tires and it sealed it what happened was there was rust on the rim that punctured the tube the problem with the hole there was you had to drive the tractor at least once a week or it would start to get soft
